Some News on Elder Shelters |
Have you heard of Elder Shelters? These networks of temporary caregiving facilities (i.e.- Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, etc.) may provide emergency accommodations with caregiving and supportive service capabilities in place for older adults in need and in times of crisis.
Many states, (Arizona, Minnesota, New York, and
Ohio to name a few) have adopted these safe havens for our nation’s elders.
In Orange County, California, the state’s first Elder Shelter network has banded together to provide shelter in facilities equipped with caring and skilled staff for victims of abuse.
