The Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Financial Exploitation Series includes:
• Two fact sheets – Identifying Financial Exploitation, and Planning to Protect Yourself from Financial Exploitation – available in English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Tagalog, and Samoan; and, • Guidelines for Professionals, which are intended to provide instructions on utilizing the in-language fact sheets developed within this series, and highlight best practices for professionals to utilize
when working with AAPI older adults who may be a victim of, or vulnerable to financial exploitation.

Have you looked at the Talking Elder Abuse communications toolkit yet? The public discourse around violence and abuse has changed dramatically in recent decades, but older people are often left out of the conversation--even though elder abuse
is common and has serious consequences for individuals, families, and society. Use these tools (key points, annotated FAQs, storytelling strategies, and more) created for advocates and professionals to put elder abuse on the public agenda, generate a sense of collective efficacy on the issue, and boost support for systemic solutions like policies and programs.
Stay Tuned! What to expect through August with the NCEA Elder Abuse Research Review This Research Review will capture the latest available
publications related to elder abuse in the United States that were published from September 2014 and August 2017. While more research is needed to shed light on the prevalence, risk prevention, and detection of elder abuse, the NCEA is dedicated to disseminating peer-reviewed research as it is published to highlight what is known and identify gaps to inform policy and practice in the field. Stay tuned for the release of the Research Review in August!
